In what world do they live? The characters live in Laria, a world that is undergoing a reconstruction after an apocalypse that destroyed human society almost in its entirety. A world in which technology and science have regressed and are replaced by magic and superstition, living together in a forced equilibrium. A world in which humanity is a minority, having been replaced by the Therions, humans genetically modified before the decline of civilization to have animal traits. And also, a world where bad jokes still exists.
Homo Therions
Also colloquially called "Therions". They are humans with animal traits and capabilities. Before the cataclysm, they were nothing more than an aesthetic fashion, but with the passing of time and the cataclysm that led to the disappearance of the ancient civilization, they prospered to become a race with their own capabilities and differences. They are still able to reproduce with humans, although in this case they are born as hybrids with few or no traits of their Therion ancestors.
The Magic Magic was discovered shortly after the demise of civilization, manifesting itself as an inherited genetic trait that allowed certain people to manipulate the laws of reality temporarily. No one knows exactly why it appeared, having multiple explanations. Science argues it as a mutation of homo sapiens to be able to adapt to the current hostile environment, while the more religious argue that it is a gift given to them by a divine being to rebuild the world.
Kittiara Valentine
Mayor of Ramalien and owner of a very popular gym. She is the mother of Haru, Fuyu and Aki. She has mental powers that allow her to sense the feelings of people close to her. This makes her a very gentle and kind person. Her appearance is quite youthful, despite her age. People close to her call her "Kitty".
